"Freedom" is just another word for "nothing left to lose"

Last week I signed up for the Y Downtown and have gone twice since which I know isn’t much but it’s better than the Nothing I’ve been doing the last few months.

I totally over-did it on the Elliptical machine though and what was supposed to start off as “a quick warm-up run” turned into me running (or Ellipticaling? If you ask Candice...) for 45 minutes at which point my feet went numb and I was too tired to do any weights. Whoops!

On my first day I managed to become a Gym Creeper because I saw Jabez there but we both were super wary of going up to the other and finding out if we were actually assuming we were the right people
(and I was really red from running, and not up for socializing)
so that didn’t happen. Oh well.
I ran for like 4k, I think? I can’t remember. It was decently far though.

Had Friday off because work makes me take all my vacation time before the end of the year, so I went again in the morning and didn’t overdo it and got some weights in. Hell yeah!

Post-gym and a quick shopping trip with Phoebe, lunch was had at Eat! Bistro, which you might recall Ty & I enjoyed a few posts ago.

Remember how I also said it's attached to a use book store? Check'r out:
I’m a fan of the menus in old books, and the little blurb (in case it’s too small) says this:

“After years of eating off the appetizer menu at all her favourite restaurants, Chef Candace Huges has set out to do something a little different. Some of our food is good for you, some of it is just good. Our menu is full of all the things you like, so forget everything you thought you knew about eating out. Mix and match. Share. Enjoy. And if you want a big hunk of meat, the Keg is down the street.”

Love it!

My lunch:
Cherry tomato, asparagus and brie frittata.
Sooooo delicious!

Candice’s: Curry rice veggie bowl.
Super tasty (I tried a piece of pepper) but I’ve been eating too much curry so I couldn't appreciate it as much as I usually would have.
I always forget how awesome this bathroom is.Check out the sweet fishbowl!:Too cute!!!

Hai friends!!

So, more Weekend Stories to come in another post, I'm starving (and this post took forever), so I'm going to have some leftovers and movie to watch.

A few weeks ago a bunch of us started (and didn't finish) watching The Lovely Bones, and while I can hear it screaming "chick flick" from miles away... sometimes I like a good girlie-type movie.

Plus Stanley Tucci is totally awesome, and I want to see Mark Wahlberg totally lose his shit.
