Black tears are falling, falling

Friday evening marked my anniversary dinner with Boyfriend Supreme. In addition to this uber-sweet note & flowers when I came home from work.
Outfit.
We chose the new uber-trendy tapas bar Segovia. Since they don't take rezzos we had to wait an hour and a half for a table to be ready, so in the meantime we grabbed some drinks and I was buzzing by the time we got there. A fabulous start.

And the foodgasm begins:
Patatas Bravas (aka... fancy poutine)
Marinated white anchovies.
Spanish cheese selection with home-made crackers.
This combo of (I think) bleu cheese, compote and cracker was amazing. Hands-down.

And the two specials:
Bison tartar. Best raw meat I've ever had
Pork cheeks on parsnip purée.

Amazing. I highly, highly recommend this place if you live in Winnipeg or happen to be visiting. Despite the wait (which wasn't that bad, all the shops in the Village were still open and we had time for drinks at Billabong) the service was impeccable, the restaurant itself was gorgeous, and the food flew out of the kitchen.

It's hands-down the best restaurant experience I have ever had. Definitely go!
