Eat Jello for Lucidending

This was posted on Reddit a couple of days ago:

On Tuesday I'll finally end my battle with cancer thanks to Oregon's Death with dignity act. As part of my preparations I've ended my pain medication and am trying to regain what little dignity and clarity I can.

Who I was doesn't matter. I'm in pain, I'm tired and I'm finally being granted a small shred of respect. Feel free to AMA if you're so inclined

Since then there's been an outpouring of sentiment over the post; it's all been kind and thoughtful, sensitive.

People have taken pictures of where they live and sent them to him so he can 'see the world' before he dies.

Since his last meal will be Jello-O, Redditors have created an Eat Jello for Lucidending event for tomorrow, March 7th.

So tomorrow I'll be having Jell-O at some point to honour someone I'll never meet who is choosing to bravely face death and to use the time they have left to touch the lives of others.

Go read the thread if you have time, it's really touching stuff.
